Privacy Policy
Effective date: April 12, 2026
Time Coach for Shooting ("the App") is built to respect your privacy. This policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and your rights.
1. Data We Collect
Short answer: Almost nothing personal.
The App stores all your training data locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on external servers.
- Training sessions: Shot timing data, session settings, and history are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data never leaves your device.
- App settings: Your preferences (accent colour, voice settings, etc.) are stored locally on your device.
- No accounts: The App does not require or support user accounts. There is no login, no email collection, and no user identification.
- Crash and error reports: If the App crashes or hits an unexpected error, anonymous diagnostic information (stack trace, app version, device model, OS version, an anonymous device install ID, and the sequence of in-app screens you viewed before the error) is sent to our crash reporting provider, Sentry. This data contains no personal information and helps us fix bugs quickly. See "Third-Party Services" below.
2. Data We Do NOT Collect
- No personal information (name, email, phone number)
- No location data
- No camera or microphone access
- No contacts or calendar data
- No advertising identifiers
- No usage analytics or behavioural tracking
- No content from your training journal or session notes
3. Third-Party Services
The App uses one third-party service, exclusively for crash and error reporting:
- Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.) — Hosted in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany). When the App crashes or encounters an unhandled error, an anonymous report is sent to Sentry so we can diagnose and fix the issue. The report contains: the technical stack trace, the App version, your device model and OS version, an anonymous device install ID generated on first launch, and a list of in-app screens you visited in the minutes before the crash. It does not contain any personal information, training data, journal entries, or session content. Sentry's privacy policy is available at https://sentry.io/privacy/. The legal basis for this processing under GDPR is our legitimate interest in keeping the App functioning correctly (Article 6(1)(f), Recital 49).
The App does not integrate with any analytics, advertising, marketing, or behavioural tracking services.
4. Internet Access
The App works entirely offline. No internet connection is required or used during normal operation.
5. Data Export
You can export your training data as a CSV file using the built-in export feature. This file is generated locally and shared using your device's native sharing capabilities. We have no access to exported files.
6. Data Deletion
All data is stored locally on your device. You can delete all your data at any time by:
- Using the "Delete All Sessions" option in the App's Settings tab
- Uninstalling the App (this removes all stored data)
For a formal data deletion request, visit our Account & Data Deletion page.
7. Children's Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect any data from children. Since we collect no personal data from any user, there is no specific children's data concern.
8. Changes to This Policy
If we update this privacy policy, the new version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. Since the App collects no data, meaningful changes are unlikely.
